Thank-you Mom.
Sometimes singleness is viewed as a curse. I thank my mother because she taught me its a blessing. You see my parents didn't get married until she was 26 and my father was almost 25. Even though she found it difficult at times, especially when all her friends were getting married... she found the rainbow in the midst of it. She always told me, "it means that you have the freedom to go out for coffee with any one you want."
Well tonight I was invited on a Tim Horton's date... but said I'd have to see as I had plans with other friends. These fell through and a second offer by another friend was given. I did the right thing and called friend#1 who wasn't around, so I went for coffee with friend#2 to Broadway Cafe. [The only way to escape small town Sussex with out ever really leaving].
I had an amazing time. Thank You. I love being able to hold conversations with friends. The bill came to $15.35 for two lattes and a plate of nachos. Was it worth it? Absolutely!
One of my biggest regrets about being at Bethany is that I've only been to Broadway three times. Sometimes we let stuff get in the way. Of course doing work is good-but if we aren't building relationships with people we don't see the full picture. Life is all about people. The paper that is due on Monday, although important to now, will not matter 10 years down the road (unless I am preaching from the same passage). But friends will....

Broadway cafe rocks. If your ever there again, let the owner know that Dena made it and is now in Costa Rica. Dena used to give the owner and his wife spanish lessons.
